    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday March 27, 1968 Darrell C. Bond. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home, for Darrell Charles BOND, 35, 701 Jefferson, an inmate of Kansas Penitentiary, Lansing, who was stabbed fatally in the prison Sunday. Sheriff Dan HAWES and Warden Sherman CROUSE said Bond was watching a basketball game in the gymnasium when two other prisoners grabbed him and took him to a stairway where the stabbing occured. Two knives were recovered. Darrell Charles Bond was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Allen in Lyon County and had spent most of his life in Topeka. He was received at the penitentiary Nov. 8, 1961, from Shawnee County to serve 20 to 42 years for first degree robbery. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lillie MOFFETT, and stepfather, Carl Moffett, both of Kansas City; four sisters, Mrs. Betty PATTERSON, Mrs. Charlene WORKMAN, Mrs. June LINK and Mrs. Dorothy WILHITE, all of Topeka; and three brothers, Bruce Bond, Robert Bond and Jerry Bond, all of Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
