    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday March 31, 1968 J.R. Misner, Miner, Farmer, Is Dead at 86. Joseph Rufus MISNER, 86, died Saturday at his home, 1160 College. He was born Feb. 16, 1882 at St. Joseph, Mo., and lived at Pittsburg, before he moved to Topeka 25 years ago. He had been a minor and a farmer before he retired. He had been a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and United Mine Workers of America. His wife, Mrs. Anna Eliabeth Misner, died Sept. 3, 1963. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Anna MILLER, at home; Mary Misner, Florence Misner and Mrs. Evelyn Gifford, all of 1604 College, and Mrs. Cecillia PALMER, 3324 Front; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burialwillbe in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Misner will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brennan Funeral Home where parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
