The Topeka Daily Capital Friday March 29, 1968 Local Girl Dies Of Leukemia. Sherry Lee DYE, 5, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dye, 614 E. 37th, died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. She had leukemia. Sherry Lee was born July 19, 1962, in Topeka, where she had lived most of her life. She had attended the Terra Heights Baptist Church. Besides her parents, survivors include a half-sister, Mrs. Betty Jo HARDY, 3615 Monroe; two half-brothers, Claude Edward COOPER, Knoxville, Tenn., and Donald L. ROSE, of the home; her paternal grandfather, William D. Dye, Richland, Va.; and materal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. TIPTON, Knoxville, Tenn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Terra Heighs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery. Friends may call at Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday and at Terra Heights Baptist Church after 10 a.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
