The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday March 28, 1968 Topekan Killed In Cycle Crash. John Carl WILLIAMS, 25, 3358 Fremont, was killed Wednesday night when he lost control of his motorcylce near his home and ran into a tree. His death was Topeka's third traffic fatality of the year. Stormont-Vail Hospital officials said he died shortly after arrival at 9:50 p.m. Police investigators said William's vehicle grazed a pickup truck sitting in a driveway and went through a fence before it hit the tree. Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
