The Topeka Daily Capital Thurday December 22, 1960 William R. Eastwood. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Penwell-Gabel Chapel for William R. EASTWOOD, 76, 408 Burr, who died at his home, Wednesday after a long illness. He was born at Council Grove Sept. 20, 1884, and spent most of his life at Emporia. He lived in Topeka two years. He was a veteran of World War I, a retired carpenter and a member of the Emporia Christian Church. Surviving are a stepson, Lee A. POWERS, 420 E. High; a brother, Louis Eastwood of Emporia; three sisters, Mrs. Nora LONG of the home, Mrs. Mae SMITH of Yuma, Ariz., and Mrs. Rose CALDWELL, of Crawford, Tex. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
