He had been in the employ of the Santa Fe for thirty-five years. His body will be sent to Amarillo for burial. James Orson White, 9-months-old son of Mrs. and Mrs. G.W. WHITE. (Note; In Yesterdays newspaper his middle names was listed as Arson.) Oscar E. SHAPLEY, age 35, September 22, at 1700 West Tenth street. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. The burial of Mrs. Mary A. EVERETT will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.

    3. The Topeka Daily State Journal Saturday September 21, 1918 Deaths and Funerals. Mrs. Amy Kearney GRIFTE, age 41, was found dead at her home in Kansas City, Mo., by her uncle. She was well known in both Kansas City and Topeka. She has two sisters living in Topeka and two brothers living in other states. Topeka relatives are Mr. and Mrs. William FISK, 135 Kellam avenue; Mrs. Henry HALLOWAY, 180 Ohio avenue; Samuel KEARNEY and James KEARNEY, 1321 Madison street. Mrs. Grifte was buried in Mt. Washington cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Ella H. NEWMAN, of Potwin Place, died Friday morning at her home, Delaware and Ohio streets. The body will be taken to Indianapolis, Ind., for burial. Miles CANNON, age 59, died this morning at a local hospital at 2 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. James Arson WHITE, the 9-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. G.E.R. White, died at a local hospital Friday. Services were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at their home, North Monroe street. Burial in Topeka cemetery.

The body is brought to Topeka for burial by a daughter, Mrs. Ernest FOX. William TOMLINSON, her husband, was the editor of the Commonwealth, an early day Topeka newspaper. Mrs. Sarah R. HASKELL, age 80, died at the residence, 1034 Woodward avenue, at 2:30 o'clock this morning. She is survived by a brother, George F. YOUNG, of Topeka. The funeral will be held at 2:30 Penwell's chapel Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Joseph SCHNALE, died at the state hospital Tuesday night. The body will be sent to Spearville, Kansas for burial.

The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the German Catholic church. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The funeral of Mrs. C.R. SILVERTHRONE, who died Saturday evening, was held at the Lowman Memorial church this morning at 11 o'clock. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Mrs. Mary May GORSAGE, died Sunday afternoon at the ome of her parents, Mr.and Mrs. George H. LAWLOR, 915 Topeka avenue. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Howard Gorsage, of Eskridge, her parents and a sister, Mrs. William SHERMAN. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Burial in Topeka cemetery. W.T. WILSON, age 70, dropped dead at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home, 1533 Polk street. Death was due to apoplexy. Mr. Wilson came to Topeka from Des Moines, Ia., about ten years ago. He is survived by his wife, and a daughter, Miss Elizabeth Wilson, an instructor in the University of Wiconsin. Mrs. Wilson is a sister of Fred H. COLLYER, formerly a Topeka newspaper man now with the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. C.D. DANIELSON, 1115 West Third street, died at 6 o'clock this morning in Parsons, Kansas. He had been ill for several days and underwent an operation Thursday. Mrs. Danielson and J.M. LOOPER for whom Danielson was construction foreman, were in Parsons at the time of his death. The body will be brought to Topeka. Burial in Mt. Calvary. (Note: Additions also have this Danielson as C.B. and C.S., same address, also have him buried in Mt. Hope cemetery.) Mary CLEMENS, ae 60, died Sunday in a local hospital.     3. The Perry Mirror Jefferson County Thursday October 1, 1942 Sister Dies In Topeka. Mrs. Minnie YOUNG, aged 70, a resident of Shawnee county for many years, died unexpectedly late Wednesday at her home in Topeka. She was born February 18, 1872, at Melotte, Ind., and came to Kansas at the age of 12 with her parents, who settled at Tecumseh. Surviving are her husband, Elmer O. Young, of the home; four sons, Ernest E. Young, Anaheim, Calif., Otis L. Young, Topeka; Lester R. Young, Topeka, and Winford A. Young, Topeka; three brothers, George H. STRANGE, Perry, Will N. Strange, Alta Vista, Kan., and John H. Stange, Czar, Alberta, Canada; and ten grandchildren. The body was taken to the Penwell Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
