She was born June 20, 1894, in Ash Grove, Mo., and was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church at Hutchinson. She is survived by her husband, Robert BASS of the home. The body will lie in state at Bowser's Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
The Topeka Daily Capital Friday June 2, 1939 Mrs. Hattie Murray. Mrs. Hattie MURRAY, 67, former resident of Topeka, died Tuesday in Chicago, Ill., according to word received here. Mrs. MURRAY was born and raised in Jackson County and lived in Topeka for many years before moving to Chicago four years ago. The body will be brought to Topeka and funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary, with interment in Fairlawn addition to Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Harry Marks IVES, 82, veteran Topeka printer, died Thursday at his home, 1349 Fillmore Street. Ives opened the H.M. Ives Print shop here in 1904. He was born November 4, 1856, in Lee County, Iowa. He attended Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa, came to Topeka fifty-eight years ago and was a printer in several shops before opening his own. He was past president of Topeka Typographical Union and was at one time active in its affairs and a member of the Washburn Golf Club. His first shop was located at 603 Jackson Street, but for several years he had been at 415 Kansas Avenue. Surviving are two sons, Nelson and Earl IVES, of Topeka; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. J.W. HOLMES of Sacramento, Calif. The body was taken to the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
