She was born July 11, 1885, in Osage County, Missouri, and was a resident of Warsaw, Mo., before moving to Topeka in 1924. Mrs. SIMS was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, D.E. SIMS, Dermott, Ark.; R.E. SIMS, St. Louis, Ill.; William A. SIMS and John E. SIMS, both of Topeka; three daughters, Mrs. J.W. HALL, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. L.R. ANDERSON and Mrs. Dora MAGANA, both of Topeka; three brothers, Willie JENKINS, Byron JENKINS and Charles JENKINS, all of Wenatchee, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Ody YATES, Bridgeport, Neb.; Mrs. Victor H. GREGORY, Warsaw, Mo.; Mrs. John BRUNS, Windsor, Mo., and Mrs. J.B. FESSLER, Exeter, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Eslinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born January 8, 1924, in Pittsburg, and had lived in Topeka the past 13(15?) years, coming here from Manhattan. Mrs. Hobert was a former nurses aide at Stormont-Vail and St. Franics Hopsitals. Surviving is her husband, Woodrow V. Hobert of the home. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Randolph, Kan., October 29, 1879, and had lived in Wamego the past 42 years. Her husband, William HILL, preceded here in death in 1937. Survivors are five children, Eva HILL, Wamego; Gretta HIGGINS, Twin Falls, Idaho; Isla LENHART, Marion, Ind.; Neidra COULTER, Elizabethtown, Ind., and Rex HILL, Columbus, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Emma BOSWELL, Liberty, Mo.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Stewart Memorial Chapel in Wamego with burial in Wamego City Cemetery.

RUTHERFORD, Terra Haute, Ind.; six grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be in Kansas City, Kan. Warnick-Eads Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

AMPHLETT, who died in Neodesha, Kan. Mr. AMPHLETT was an old resident of Neodesha and owned property there. His burial will take place in Neodesha Tuesday.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday February 2, 1952 Father and Child Killed in Crash. Alfred ROMANDER, 1436 East 29th, and his two-and-one-half-year-old son, Dennis ROMANDER, were injured fatally on Thursday night in a motorcar accident near Midland on US-24. ROMANDER was driving west when his car struck a truck wheel and tire. The impact thru his car under the trailer of a truck going in the opposite direction. Thomas KEE, of Tulsa, the truck driver, escaped injury. The ROMANDERS were taken to a Lawrence hospital where the boy died shortly before midnight. ROMANDER died Friday night. ROMANDER was a traveling salesman for the American Encyclopedia. Surviving are his wife and two stepsons, Bobby MIDDAUGH, 10 and Ronnie MIDDAUGH, 7, both of the home.

He had lived in Topeka for 70 years. He was employed as a carman for the Santa Fe Railroad for many years, retiring in 1945. Mr. McCLELLAND was a former member of the Second Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Monroe LOCKHART, of the home; an adopted son, William M. Brown McCLELLAND, of the Army Air Force, enroute to Okinawa; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie SCOTT and Mrs. Effie MORGAN, both of Topeka; a borther, Edward McCLELLAND, Topeka, and three grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mildred HARPER and Mrs. Gayle NICHOLS, both of Topeka, and Mrs. Icelle HEMPHILL, Coffeyville; two sons, R.C. MOORE, Topeka, and Vernon MOORE, Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, five grea-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dahl MOORE, Coatsville, Mo.; and Charles MOORE, Bloomfield, Iowa. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
