He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nettie E. Hickman, 2200 Burnett Road, and Mrs. Edith Richardson, Chivington, Colo., and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at Wilsey, Kan., at a time to be announced later.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 3, 1952 David P. Vaughn. David Patrick Vaughn, 3 1/2-year-old son of Mrs. Ruth G. Vaughn, Osage City, and S/Sgt. Andrew J. Vaughn, San Francisco, died Saturday in a local hospital. Other survivors include the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Nordling, Osage City, and Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson, Belvue, Kan. Funeral services will be at 2:30 Monday at the Methodist Church in Osage City. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery there.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 3, 1952 Edward Sullivan. Edward Sullivan, 84, Louisville, Kan., died Friday night in Council Grove. A life-long resident of Louisville, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Sullivan, of the home; a son, James of Wamego; three daughters, Mrs. WIlliam Bair of Wamego; Mrs. Carl Hiser, St. Marys, and Mrs. Floyd Weeks, 2114 Potomac Drive, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. J.B. Henry, Lawrence; a brother, Albert Sullivan of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at the Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 3, 1952 Robert E. Williams. Robert W. WILLIAMS, 63, of 501 Quincy, died Friday night at Kirksville, Texas. He was born in Norcatur, Oct. 9, 1888. He lived in Topeka about four years. He had been a painter and was a member of the Painters Union, American Federation of Labor. He is survived by two sons, Donald W. Williams, 324 West Seventh and Mark Edward Williams, Kansas City, Mo.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 3, 1952 Mrs. E.H. Williamson. Mrs. Elmira H. WILLIAMSON, 63, died at her home near Denison Saturday evening. She had lived in the community since 1904. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Denison and of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Sam, of the home; a son, Leland, of Junction City; a sister, Mrs. Corda Cochren of Oklahoma City, and two grandchildren. The Mercer Funeral Home of Holton will announce funeral arrangements.

She was a sister of Mrs. Mabel Seaver, 1117 Quincy, Mrs. Florence Rexroth, 2015 Medford, and Barton Vail, 1103 Kansas Avenue. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Vail, former Topekans. Services and burial will be in Saline Tuesday.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 3, 1952 Ancil J. West Dies; Former Kansas Banker. Word has been received in Topeka that Ancil J. West, Denver, Colo., formerly a bank examiner of Kansas and a brother of Herbert G. West, 1310 Collins, died Friday morning. He was born at Milo, Iowa, July 2, 1883 and came to Kansas 60 years ago, settling at Ottawa, where he was educated. He worked at the Republic State Bank of Republic Kan., and later bought an interest in the Belleville State Bank, becoming its cashier. He later sold his interest and went with the state banking department, becoming the deputy in charge of the Wichita district. He later bought the controlling interest of one of the banks of Alamosa, Colo., which he operated for some 30 years. He retired about four years ago and moved to Denver. He and his wife were on a tour of Mexico when he died of a heart attack in Mexico City. The body will be sent to Topeka. There will be a short service for the family at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. Dr. Orlo Choguill of the First Presbyterian Church will be in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence West, and a daughter, Jane of the home in Denver; a son Merrell A. West, Alamosa, Colo.; a and a brother, Herbert, of 1310 Collins.
The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952 Mrs. Mary McElroy. Mrs. Mary McElroy, 79, Route 8, died Tuesday night from a heart attack shortly after her arrival at a Topeka hospital. She was born June 4, 1872, in Iowa and spent most of her life at Quinter, Kan. She moved to Topeka three years ago and was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of this city. She and her husband J. J. McElroy, would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary Friday. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Miss Elizabeth McElroy, Latikia, Syria; Mrs. Frank Armbruster, Wakeeney, Kan.; Mrs. Roy Mathews, Hemet, Calif., and Mrs. Grady Stegall, Route 8; two sons, W.A. McElroy, Route 8, and the Rev. J. E. McElroy, Morning Sun, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Alexander, Orlando, Fla. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and at 1 p.m. Friday at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Quinter. Burial will be in Quinter Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952 Morton D. Conard. Morton D. Conard, 53, fo 300 Tyler, died Wednesday in a Topeka hospital. He was bron June 15, 1898 in Topeka and lived here his entire life. He was a representative of the Thomas D. Murphy Advertising Co. of Red Oak, Iowa. He served with the 139th Sanitary Train of the Thirty-Fifth Division during World War I. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, I.O.O.F. Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emily Conard of the home; two daughters, Mrs. G.A. Rudolph, Wichita, and Miss Emily Louise Conard, Venice, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Loren Painter and Miss Catherine Conard, both of Topeka, and Mrs. C.A. Frisinger, Independence, Kan. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Henry Donaldson, Arthur Farmer, Burton Marcy, William Richards, Ray Ellington and Tom Kensett.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Immenschuh, all of Rossville. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rossville Cemetery.

Turner, Sr. Robert Nelson Turner, Sr., 86, Route 3, North Topeka, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edna Ransom, 2251 Topeka. He was born August 31, 1865, in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Kansas when he was three years old. He was a truck gardner most of his life. He was a member of the St. John's AME Church. His wife, Mrs. Clara Stewart Turner, died in 1918. Mr. Turner is survived by three sons, Walter Turner, Route 3, Robert Turner, Topeka, Clay Turner, East Moline, Ill.; two nieces, Mrs. Dana Davis, Route 8, and Mrs. Florist Bowen, Topeka; a nephew, Willie Turner, Detroit, Mich., seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

He was born February 22, 1867 in Illinois and was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. A daughter, Mrs. Helen Lee, of London, Ohio, survives.

She was born June 11, 1871, in St. Joseph, Mo., and had lived in Topeka since 1907. She was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist Church. She was the wife of the late J.B. Fox. Mrs. Fox is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lennie Dschuden, Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Estella Guier, Topeka; three sons, Kirk M., Harry R., and Wilfred B. Fox, all of Topeka; two brothers, R.B. Kirkman of Kansas City, and M.G. Kirkman, Encino, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Topeka Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952. W.C. Shaw. W.S. Shaw, formerly of Topeka, died December 30 in Blackwater, Mo. Mr. Shaw was born in 1881 in Jordan, N.Y., and was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad Co., from 1902 until 1947. He was a traveling general storekeeper until he retired in 1947. His wife survives.
The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952 Tom Wilcox. Tom Wilcox, 71, of Jarbalo, Kan., died Wednesday in a Topeka hospital. He was born January 27, 1880 in Louisburg, Ky., and had made his home in Jarbalo since 1904. He was a carpenter and contractor. A brother, Luther Wilcox, of Topeka, survives. The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in McLouth Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952 Mrs. Julia C. Kistler, Life-Long Resident, Dies. Mrs. Julia Cunningham Kistler, 41, died Tuesday night at her home, 1531 Plass. She was born October 24, 1910, in Topeka and attended the Topeka schools. She was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist Church. Her husband, David Kistler, is assistant to the director of research of the Capper Publications and her father, F.B. Cunningham, is national advertising manager of the Topeka Newspaper Printing Co. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jayne and Kathryn Sue Kistler of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Cunningham, Topeka; and two sisters, Mrs. Don Hillrichs and Mrs. Robert Davis, both of Topeka. The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952 Topekan Dies Of Auto Injuries. Clyde D. BAYLOR, of 524 Madison, died Wednesday night in a Topeka hospital from injuries suffered Friday night in a motorcar accident near Sixth and Madison. His skull was fractured. Duval D. Hudson, Route 5, driver of the car, told officers that he was blinded by lights from another car and did not see the aged man in the street until too late to avoid the accident. Baylor was born July 30, 1879, in Medina County, Ohio, and had made his home in Topeka 29 years. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Merrie Baylor of White City, Kan.; and four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Olson, White City; Mrs. Nellie Sherman and Mrs. Minnie Sylvester both of Junction City, and Mrs. W.C. Davis, Topeka.

Services for Mrs. John DUDLEY of Smith Center, the mother of a Topeka teacher, will be at 2 p.m. today in the First Christian Church at Lebanon in Smith County with burial in the Lebanon Cemetery. She died Saturday at Smith Center. She is survived by a son, Earl Dudley of Smith Center; a daughter, Miss Mary Dudley, 629 Taylor, a teacher in Curtis Junior High School; and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Fuller of Smith Center. The Simmons Mortuary of Smith Center is in charge of arrangements.
