He was born March 18, 1874, near Winchester, Kan., and had been making his home with his daughter for the past three months. Besides Mrs. MARPLE, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Faye SINGLETON, Liberty, Mo.; a son, C.Wallace TROWER, Liberty, Mo.; a granddaughter; four brothers, L.O. and Jess R. TROWER, Winchester; Chester TROWER, Ozawkie, and Charles E. TROWER, Route 8, and three sisters, Mrs. Ida GILBERT, Fort Smith, Ark.; Mrs. Rachel HILL, Fort Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Charles THORNBURG, Topeka. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary and at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hebron Baptist Church near Winchester. Burial will be in the Wise Cemetery.

She had made her home in Shawnee County most of her life. She is survived by three sons, Gary and Arthur STURGIS, both of Waukegan, Ill., and Glen STURGIS, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth MONTGOMERY, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Ezra COOPER, Topeka and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with burial in Topeka Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Friday November 9,1951 Mrs. Josinah Strunk. Mrs. Josinah Lee STRUNK, 78, widow of William J. STRUNK, and a long time resident of Burlingame, died Thursday afternoon at her home. She was born August 25, 1873, in La Fayette, Ind., and moved to Coffeyville with her parents when she was a small child. She had made her home in the Burlingame community since she was 12 years old. She was married to the late William J. STRUNK December 30, 1891, in Burlingame. She is survived by two sons, Abbie E. STRUNK, of the home, and Wilmer W. STRUNK, Topeka; a daughter, Mrs. Laura WEIL, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Abe SMILEY, Leavenworth, and one grandchild. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Carey's Funeral Home in Burlingame. Burial will be in Burlingame Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Friday December 2, 1960 Lillard Dandridge. Word was received by Harry DANDRIDGE, 722 Gardield, of the death of his brother, Lillard G. DANDRIDGE. He died at his home in Los Angeles, Calif., Thrusday. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Dandridge of the home; another brother, Hugh Dandridge of Los Angeles, and a sister, Mrs. Veriee Prowd of Los Angeles. Services and burial will be in Los Angeles. Mr. Dandridge was a 33rd degree Mason and was grand secretary of the grand lodge in California 20 years.

She was born at Iron Hill, Iowa, July 17, 1873, and lived here about 20 years. Surviving are two sons, Horace Collett of Monrovia, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel with burial in Foster Cemtery. Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary is in charge.

DELPH, 77, 1119 Tyler, who died at his home Thrusday. He lived in Topeka 53 years. He was born in Lathrop, Mo., March 7, 1883, and operated a shoe repair shop at 110 W. 9th many years. He was a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church and Topeka Lodge No. 17, AF&AM. The Topeka Daily Capital Friday December 2, 1960 F.W. White, 91, Dies at Hospital. Frederick E. WHITE, 91, 812 Monroe, died Thursday in a local hospital. He was a retired painting and decorating contractor. He was born Nov. 1, 1869, at Canton, N.Y., and was a veteran of The Spanish American War. He and his widow, who survives, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 10. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irene Benson of the home; three sons, Arthur B. White of Washington, D.C.; Leroy A. White, 1946 N. Central, and Walter W. White, 812 Monroe; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

HECKEL, 66, 1735 Quincy, who died here in a hospital Wednesday. He was a retired baker for Reeder Donut Co. He was born in Richmond, Mo., Jan. 30, 1894, and was a World War I veteran. He had lived here 18 years. He was a member of the Mitchell Park Christian Church at St. Joseph, Mo., Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion and American War Dads. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Irene Heckel of the home; two sons, James L. Heckel, 2604 Valley Brook, and Charles E. Heckel, 216 Arter; four daughters, Mrs. Richard Quiett of the home; Mrs. Donald Paschall, 1036 Arter; Mrs. Flossie Locklin of St. Joseph, and Mrs. Tommy Burnett of Wheatland, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Florence Young of St. Joseph; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

STROMQUIST, 80, 523 Harrison, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital after a short illness. He was born at Freemount, Kan., March 14, 1880. He lived in Fort Stockton, Tex., and moved here in 1922. He was a machinist for the Santa Fe Railway until retirement in 1948. Mr. Stromquist was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Topeka. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Ethel Stromquist of the home; a son, L.M. Stromquist, 615 Roosevelt; two sisters, Mrs. Edna KITTELL of McPherson and Mrs. Ida JOHNSON of Jamestown, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Graveside services will be at the Freemount Cemetery near Lindsborg at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Wagner was born Jan. 9, 1900, at Tolette, Ark, and lived more than 30 years in Kansas City where he operated a barbershop. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Kansas City. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lilly Wagner of Kansas City, Kan.; three daughters, Miss Lucille Lee Wagner, Miss Sedalia Wagner and Miss Gloria Jean Wagner, and two sons, John T. and Arthur J. MOORE, 88, 1135 College, who died Friday in the Methodist Home. She lived in Abilene before moving here in 1901. She was born at Staunton, Ill., June 6, 1872, and was charter member of the Minerva Club and was active in the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, the late Charles A. Moore, was president of the Liberty Life Insurance Co. Surviving are a son, William Beverly Moore of Prairie Village, and a daughter, Mrs. John O. Downey, Hotel Kansan. Entombment will be in Mount Hope Abbey.

Van Buren, who died Friday in a local hospital. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lawrence. He was born in Douglas County, Nov. 19, 1874, and lived in Topeka 20 years. The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday March 4, 1961 Guy W. Axtell Dies at Age 72; Rites Monday. Services for Guy W. AXTELL, 72, of Route 4, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Penwell-Gabel Chapel with burial in Bethel Cemetery south of Tecumseh. He died Friday at home. He was a resident of the Topeka community 58 years and was a former Santa Fe Railway employe. Mr. Axtell was born Feb. 14, 1889, at Underwood, Iowa, was a farmer a few years, and served in World War I with the Marine Corps. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Axtell at home; a daughter, Mrs. Rachel Stang of La Grange, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Heien and Mrs. Mabel Carver, twins, both of Olathe, and three grandchildren.

He was superintendent of maintenance at Forbes Air Force Base and was a master mechanic. Born Oct. 7, 1904, at Carbondale, he was a resident of Topeka 43 years, a member of the Methodist Church, Golden Rule Lodge No. 90, AF&AM, and the Scottish Rite. Suriving are a daughter, mrs. Marcia Meyer of St. Louis, Mo.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William W. Latter, at home, and a brother, Robert E. Latter, 1906 W. Dudley. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Golden Rule Lodge No. 90 will officiate at the graveside.
The Topeka Daily Capital Friday March 3, 1961 J.L. Van Hole, 88, Dies at Home. J.L. VAN HOLE of Route 6, retired Kaw Valley farmer and former chairman of the Kaw River Drainage Board, died Thursday at his home following several weeks' of illness. He was 88. He was a member of teh board from 1917 to 1947 and served as chairman from 1929 until retirement in 1947. He was born in Renaix, Belgium, Aug. 26, 1872, and came to the United States in 1884. Mr. Van Hole lived in the St. Marys community until 1908 when he moved to Topeka. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. He and and his widow, Mrs. Lena Van Hole, would have celebrated their 63rd weding anniversary in April. Other survivors are a son, Donald Van Hole, also at home; four daughters, Mrs. Ella Lux of Kansas City, Mrs. Edna Habig, 629 Twiss, Mrs. Dorothy Glotzbach of Route 8, and Mrs. Marcella Melton of Route 4; a brother, Jerome Van Hole of St. Marys; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday July 16, 1939 William Krater Irwin. William Krater IRWIN, 75, died Saturday at his home, 1214 High Street. He was born February 19, 1864, at Washburn, Ill., and came to Kansas at the age of fifteen. Before coming to Topeka nearly fifty years ago, Mr. Irwin lived in Hiawatha, Cherryvalle, and Lebanon. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anne E. Irwin, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. A.M. Barnett, Topeka; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lillian Smith, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Blanche Lininger, of Colton, Calif.; and Mrs. Nora Rivers of Odessa, Mo., and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at the Penwell Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday July 16, 1939 Walter Scott Glover. Walter Scott GLOVER, 71, father of Earl Glover, prominent Topeka architect, died Saturday night in a Topeka hospital. He was born November 28, 1867, in Terre Haute, Ind., and came to Topeka in 1903. He had made his home here since that time. While in Terre Haute, Mr. Glover was connected with the public schools. His wide acquaintance thruout the state was established during the thirty years which he spent as traveling representative of several Eastern dry good firms. He was a member of the Central Congregational Church and several traveling men's organizations. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maude Glover, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Charles A Martin of Topeka; one son, Earl Glover; one brother, Frank Glover of Ontario, Calif.; one sister, of Terre Haute, and six grandchildren. The body was taken to the Penwell Funeral Home, pending funeral arrangements. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
