She was born November 12, 1877 in Nortonville, Kan. She made her home in Portland, Ore., for many years and for the past two years had been living with a nephew, William Eckles, of Eskridge. She moved to Topeka two weeks ago. She is survived by two brothers, Charley F. Eckles, of Portland and Scott Eckles of Topeka; and two sisters, Mrs. J.E. McCOY of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. T.F. KEEVER of Nortonville, Kan. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Friday October 7, 1960 Wesley C. Bolyard Funeral Is Set. Wesley C. BOLYARD, 89, died Thursday in a local nursing home. He had been a resident of the home for the past two years. He was born Dec. 20, 1870, in Sellowsville, W.Va., and moved to Osage County in 1914. A farmer, carpenter and stone mason, he had resided in Topeka for the past 30 years. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge, both of Lyndon. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elsie BERG, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sons, Delbert of Hollywood, Calif., Arthur of 2434 Wisconsin, Herbert of 111 N. Quinton, and Austin of 2026 N. Quincy, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of the McElfresh Funeral Home in Osage City with burial in Osage City Cemetery.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home for Mellville Virgil JESSUP, 86, 225 No. Roosevelt, who died Thursday at a Topeka hospital after a short illness. Born Dec. 31, 1873, at Otterville, Mo., he lived at Pawnee, Okla., before moving to Topeka in 1907. He was in the water service department of the Rock Island Railroad many years and later for 22 years with the Gas Service Co. in Topeka. He retired in 1946. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World at Omaha, Neb. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rilla HAEGERT, 2240 W. 8th, and Mrs. Eva SNOW, 225 N. Roosevelt; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie ODEN of Sulphur, L., Mrs. Clyde McKEITHEN of Fort Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Ivan SEGER of Hollywood, Calif. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Born June 19, 1878, near Reading, he lived in the Osage City and Reading communities all his life. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Richard Williams of Osage City, Mrs. Frank CAREY of Ellinwood, and Mrs. James A. PATTERSON, of 520 E. 8th; and one brother, David GRAY of Ontario, Canada. Services and burial will be in Macksville. The body will lie in state until 8 p.m. Friday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary.

He died Tuesday night in a Topeka hospital. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Born Aug. 17, 1925, at Overbrook, he lived most of his life in Topeka. He was an architectural engineer employed by the Federal Housing Administration. Mr. Grice was a member of the St. Matthew's Catholic Church and the National Society of Professional Engineers. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucy A. Grice, and four daughters, Linda, Cara, Kim, and Mary Lou Grice, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Belle Grice, 1915 Lane; one brother, David Grice of El Paso, Tex.; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy PIPER, 4208 W. 21st, and Mrs. Mary WILLETT of Los Angeles, Calif. The body will lie in state from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Brennan Funeral Home. The parish rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. and the Holy Name Society rosary at 7:45 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was a member of the Topeka Typographical Union. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lamotte GROVER, White Plains, N.Y.; two sisters, Miss Grace and Miss Anna Alspach, both of the home and two grandchildren.

FEAR of Waverly, died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.T. KELLY, of Burlington. She suffered a heart attack Saturday. Her husband, who died in 1937, was a physician at Waverly more than 50 years and served in the State Legislature from Coffey County. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank LEBOW of Salina and Mrs. KELLY.
