The Topeka Daily Capital Monday April 23, 1951 E.J. Huston. E.J. HUSTON, 76, former Sedgwick County commissioner, died Sunday in Wichita, according to word received by his daughter, Mrs. W.M. PULFORD, 2339 Ohio. Mr. Huston served as county commissioner until four years ago when he resigned on account of poor health. He was a frequent visitor to Topeka. Besides his daughter, he is survived by his wife, a son, Fred Huston of Washington, D.C. and six grandchildren.

WHIPPLE of 708 Sumner, have received word of the death of their grandson, Jack Howard Whipple, 8, of El Reno, Okla. He was born May 22, 1942 in Denver. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Whipple, Jr., El Reno; a brother, James H. Whipple, III, a sister, Jere Lynne Whipple of the home; a grandmother, Mrs. Clara PORTER, Pittsfield, Mass., his grandparents, in Topeka, and two aunts, Mrs. Joseph HETTINGER and Mrs. Dora SMARR, of Topeka.

Allen KING, 48, manager of the planing mill division of the Whelan Lumber Co., died Sunday night in a Topeka hospital. His home was at 2831 Wisconsin. He was born September 14, 1902 near Big Springs and had made his home in Topeka and vicinity most of his life. He was a member of the First Methodist Chruch and the Shawnee Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther I. KING of the home; two sons, Lawrence Eugene King of the home and Stuart A. King, Topeka; a daughter, Miss Carol Ann King, Topeka; and his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. MAYES, Topeka.

WORTHINGTON, 83, a former resident of Perry community, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hazel HENTSCHEL, Kansas City, Mo. She was born July 11, 1868, in Wayne County, Illinois, where she lived a short time. She lived in Tennessee for 12 years and moved to Wyandotte County in 1889. She then moved to Jefferson County and lived there until 1942. She lived in Topeka before going to Kansas City two years ago to make her home with her daughter. She was a member of the Presbyterian Liberty Church. Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Rose YATES, Kansas City, Mo.; four sons, John Worthington, 1228 Kellam, Sam Worthington of Wichita, Carrol Worthington of Townanda, Kan., and Geroge Worthington of Cascade, Ind.; a brother, Henry HALE; 20 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was a farmer and stock raiser and was a lifelong resident of the Valley Falls community. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Birdie Robertson, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Charles BOZARTH of Scranton, Kan., a son, Leon Robertson of Topeka; two half-brothers, Charles Robertson, Kansas City, Mo., and Gerald Robertson, Independence, Mo., and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hagge Funeral Home, Valley Falls. Burial will be in the Valley Falls Cemetery. The Winchester Masonic Lodge will conduct graveside services.

The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday April 22, 1951 Frank Early. Frank EARLY, 73, a former resident of Topeka, died last Thursday at his home in Manchester, Conn. He was brought to Kansas by his parents at the age of 3 and was reared in Birmigham. Later he lived for a number of years in Mayetta and Topeka. He moved to Ness County, where he lived until he retired from his farm and moved to Manchester. He is survived by his widow, Mary, of the home; two daughters. Mrs. Helen GRIEF and Mrs. Ruth BISHOP, both of Manchester; a brother, Meade EARLY of Denison, Kan., and four sisters, Mrs. Mabel JONES, Mayetta; Mrs. Lottie CHESTNUT of Chanute, and Mrs. Maud CONNERY and Mrs. Sadie RALSTON, both of 728 Orleans. Burial will be in Manchester Sunday.
The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday April 22, 1951 Mrs. Carrie Sentz. Mrs. Carrie SENTZ, 83, died Saturday at her home, 1023 Lincoln, after an extended illness. Mrs. Sentz was born September 23, 1867, at Everest. She married John M. Sentz in 1888 and lived near Horton until 1912, when she moved to Topeka. She was a member and active worker in the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. G.W. CHRISTNER, Kansas City, Mo., and Miss Katherine Sentz, 1023 Lincoln, elementary music supervisor in the Topeka schools; three sisters, Mrs. Mary LATHROP, Hiawatha; Mrs. Polly HESS, Atchison, and Mrs. Charlotte REEVES, Everest; and two brothers, Edward DANEY and George DANEY both of Huron. Four grandchildren also survive.

She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, April 20, 1861. In 1942 Mrs. White moved to Rossville to live with her daughter, Mrs. Grace MITCHELL. She was a member of the Methodist Chruch at Stillwater, Okla. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Belle MAIN of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. White(note: probably should be Mitchell here.); five grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services and burial will be in Stillwell. The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home will be in charge of local arrangements.

He is survived by a son, Willard, of Fresno, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Bessie HAY of Kansas City, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Mondy at the Eskridge Reformed Presbyterian Church, with the Austin Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be in Eskridge Cemetery.
