ROBINSON, Durham, England, and a brother, M. HUME in Scotland.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday April 25, 1951 The Rev. David H. Owen Dies in Kansas City, Kan. The Rev. David H. OWEN, 68, former Topekan, died Tuesday morning in Kansas City, Kan. He was formerly state director of Christian education of the Christian Churches in Kansas. The Rev. Mr. Owen was born in Mitchell County and attended school at Beloit. He was employed by the Santa Fe when he attended a church convention and decided to enter the ministry. He was state director of Christian education until he moved to Kansas City in 1919 to become pastor of a church. He was a delegate to the world convention of Christian Churches in leicester, England, in 1935. He was a brother of Miss May Owen of Topeka. He also is survived by his wife, formerly Fern M. CLEMMONS of Topeka; two sons, Paul C. and David H. Owen, Kansas City and one grandson. The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m., Thursday at Topeka Cemetery.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Monday February 25, 1952 Lee A. Graves. A military funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Shiloh Baptist Church for Warrant Officer Lee A. GRAVES, 42, who was killed September 29, 1951, in Korea. He was serving with Company L, 15th Infantry when he was killed. Born in Greensboro, N.C. he enlisted in the army in August 1929 and served 22 years. He was awarded the bronze medal in World War II and the Purple Heart in Korea. He was a member of the Kaw Valley Masonic Lodge and the Jordan Patterson American Legion Post of Topeka. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Odrae Graves, 1803 Van Buren; his father, Lee Graves Sr., Phildelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice WALTERS and Mrs. Katherine MORRIS, both of Philadelphia; two aunts, Mrs. Fred HAZEL, Binghampton, N.Y. and Mrs. Allen BETHEL, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two nieces and a nephew.

He was born November 13, 1868, near Peoria, Ill., and came to Kansas when he was 25 years old. He had lived on a farm south of Tecumseh 42 years. He was a member of the Grace Evangelical United Bretheren Church. He came to Topeka in 1933 and became associated with the Civil Works Commission, the forerunner of the Kansas Department of Social Welfare. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, the Presbyterian Church in Iola and the Topeka Elks Club.
