Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery.

Besides her stepmother, she is survived by her husband, Henry Bell of the home in Monrovia, Calif.; a son, Roland Bell; and three grandchildren, all of Monrovia; four sisters, Mrs. Eva JEFFERSON, Topeka, Mrs. Herschel HENDERICKS, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Theresa GIBSON, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Adeline ERWIN, Marshall, Texas; and two brothers, Elsworth P.     3. The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday February 26, 1952 Mrs. David C. Johnson. Mrs. David Clinton JOHNSON, 83, died Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold CONE, 1620 West 15th. Mrs. Johnson was born OCtober, 29, 1868, in Mattoon, Ill., and came to Kansas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. WHITE, in 1869. The family was among the original settlers in Wilson County. She was married to David C. Johnson at Buffalo, Kan., October 17, 1888. Mrs. Johnson lived in Eureka for more than 50 years, and had lived in Topeka with Mr. and Mrs. Cone for the past six years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Eureka; a 50-year member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of American Colonists; a member of the Entre Nous Club of Euerka; and past president of the Legion Auxillary of the Morris-Smyth Post of Eureka. Mrs. Johnson's other survivors include a son, Roscoe E. Johnson, of San Francisco; three grandchildren, Mrs. Paul L. LENTZ of Green Belt, Md.; David A Johnson of Boise, Idaho; and Miss Helen M. Johnson of Kansas City; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the First Congregational Church in Eureka. The Rev. Charles W. HELSLEY, pator of the Central Congregational Chruch of Topeka, assisted by Dr. Charles Brown, pastor of the Eureka church will conduct the services.

She was born in Bloomfield, Ind., and at an early age she came to Jackson County where she had since made her home. Besides her husband, Mrs. Myers leaves four daughters, Mrs. Robert BRAUM, of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Nellie RAMAGE, of Mayetta, Kan., Mrs. Edna DEPPE, of Topeka, and Mrs. Isadel BELSON of Copeland; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Myers of Topeka. Mrs. Myers was predeceased by a son, Lovelle Myers in 1944. Funeral services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Denison, Kan., Saturday afternoon.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday April 17, 1947 John W. Gardner, First Director of Highways, Is Dead. Marion, Kan.,--April 16.--Funeral services will be held Saturday or Sunday in Marion for John W. GARDNER, who died in a hospital in Las Vegas, Nev., Sunday evening. Mr. Gardner was the first director of the Kansas State Highway Department serving in that capacity at the tome of the department's organization in April, 1929. He held the office form 1928 until 1930 and was succeeded by the late Guy T. HELVERING. A prominent citizen and abstractor at Marion for many years, Gardner twice served as mayor, form 1922 to 1925, and again from 1944 until early this year. He was a member of the Shrine and Masonic Lodges. Mr. Gardner's death occurred while he was enroute to California with his daughter, Mrs. Tom HOWARD, and Major Howard.

SMALL, a resident of Topeka for many years, died Monday in Jackson, Mich., from an attack of pneumonia, according to word received in Topeka. She is survived by two sons, Edwin J. Small of Indianapolis, Ind., D.A. Small, of Jackson, Mich., and a daughter, Mrs. Walter T. HOPE, of Minneapolis, Minn. FIGG--Harry FIGG, formerly of Topeka, and a brother of Charles Figg, 1130(1180?) Boswell avenue, died Wednesday in Oklahoma City. The body will be brought to Topeka for burial. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. BAGLEY--Mrs. Etta BAGLEY, an old resident of Topeka, died in Roslyne, Wash., according to word received in Topeka. She is a sister of Herbert BRYANT, farmer, living just east of Oakland. Burial took place in Roslyne.
