    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday April 22, 1947 Grant McCoy. Grant McCOY, 80, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P.H. CIBULSKI, 630 Lindenwood. He was born July 22, 1866, in Skippensburg, Pa., and lived in Wilson, Kan., until he came to Topeka last week. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Modern Woodmen of America and Knights of Pythias, all at Wilson. Survivors include eight daughters, Mrs. A.C. WILSON, Oskaloosa, Mrs. M.R. PRENTZ, and Mrs. Ray HUGHES, both of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Roy C. MUNSON and Mrs. E.W. HOPKINS, both of Hays, Mrs. Ernest ENSIGN, Sylvan Grove, Mrs. Dale R. LINDSEY, of Pharr, Texas, and Mrs. CIBULSKI; one son, Fred McCoy, Wichita; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers. Services and burial will be in Wilson with the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary in charge.

He was born November 21, 1886, at Stubbhult, Hishult, Sweden, and came to the United States in 1912. He had been a resident of Topeka for the past 35 years. He was employed in the coach shop of the Santa Fe. He was a member of the Bethel Covenant Church, Golden Rule Lodge No. 90, A.F. and A.M. and the Norden Benefit Association. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Gustafson, of the home, one daughter, Mrs. James L. DUTT, Topeka; two brothers, M/Sgt. Einar A. Gustafson of Topeka and A.Gottfred Gustafson of Sweden; one sisters, Mrs. Jennie NERMAN of Sweden; one granddaughter, Joan Lee Dutt, Topeka. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.

The Crosby Brothers Store was closed yesterday and will be closed today in respect to the memory of Mr. Crosby. A request that Topeka stores be closed from 2 until 3 p.m. today was made at a meeting of the merchants' division of the Chamber of Commerce Monday. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.

Miss Bernice Margaret HOUCK, 28, formerly of Delia, died Saturday night in a plane crash near San Fernando, Calif., according to word received by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Houck of Delia. No details in connection with the crash were received. Miss Houck has been employed in a hospital at Hawthrone, Calif., and occasionally took week-end plane rides to points of interest in California. She was born November 30, 1918, in Delia. Besides her parents, survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Lee SUMMER and Mrs. Elizabeth N. SUMMER, both of Wichita; five brothers, Leroy Houck, Los Angeles, Calif., Lawrence Houck, Sacramento, Calif.; Wendell and John Houck, now in military service, and Richard Houck, of the home, and a grandfather, L.T. Houck of Delia. Funeral services and burial will be in Delia but further arrangements will not be made until after the arrival of the body from California.
