The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday April 22, 1947 Grant McCoy. Grant McCOY, 80, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P.H. CIBULSKI, 630 Lindenwood. He was born July 22, 1866, in Skippensburg, Pa., and lived in Wilson, Kan., until he came to Topeka last week. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Modern Woodmen of America and Knights of Pythias, all at Wilson. Survivors include eight daughters, Mrs. A.C. WILSON, Oskaloosa, Mrs. M.R. PRENTZ, and Mrs. Ray HUGHES, both of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Roy C. MUNSON and Mrs. E.W. HOPKINS, both of Hays, Mrs. Ernest ENSIGN, Sylvan Grove, Mrs. Dale R. LINDSEY, of Pharr, Texas, and Mrs. CIBULSKI; one son, Fred McCoy, Wichita; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers. Services and burial will be in Wilson with the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary in charge.

Gay, 1102 Kansas, who died Sunday in a Topeka hospital, were held 3 p.m. Monday at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Besides her parents, survivors include her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert WEDEKIND of Kansas City, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Alex GAY, of Clyde. Brennan's Funeral Home was in charge.

He was born May 16, 1946 in Topeka. Besides his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David ALLENSON of Riley and Mr. and Mrs. Archie W. Dean of Chesterfield, Mo. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday April 22, 1947 Mrs. Hattie Ogleby. Mrs. Hattie OGLEBY, 72, of Admire, died Sunday in an Emporia hospital following a heart attack. She is survived by her husband, Robert B. Ogleby, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Leah DUFF, Eskridge, Mrs. Pearl CHAMBERS, Topeka; and Mrs. Crytsal PHILLIPS, Wichita; a son, Gerald A. Ogleby, Topeka; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 at the Methodist Church of Admire.

He was born November 21, 1886, at Stubbhult, Hishult, Sweden, and came to the United States in 1912. He had been a resident of Topeka for the past 35 years. He was employed in the coach shop of the Santa Fe. He was a member of the Bethel Covenant Church, Golden Rule Lodge No. 90, A.F. and A.M. and the Norden Benefit Association. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Gustafson, of the home, one daughter, Mrs. James L. DUTT, Topeka; two brothers, M/Sgt. Einar A. Gustafson of Topeka and A.Gottfred Gustafson of Sweden; one sisters, Mrs. Jennie NERMAN of Sweden; one granddaughter, Joan Lee Dutt, Topeka. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.

She was born in Oshkosh, Wis., March 24, 1869, and had lived in the vicinity of Osklaoosa for nearly 70 years. Survivors are one son, Frank Larnar, of the home; three daughters, Ella of the home; Dehlia of Wichita, and Ona Mae of Omaha. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. at the Oskaloosa Methodist Church.

The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday April 22, 1947 Mrs. Mary D. Peckham. Mrs. Mary D. PECKHAM, 88, died Monday at her home, 1418 North Kansas. She was born June 14, 1858 in Plainfield, Ind., and was a member of the Christian Science Church. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Laura BANISTER of Topeka. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Parker Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the mortuary until the time of the services.

She was born in Ellis and had made her home in Topeka more than 40 years. She is survived by her husband, George L. DAVIS of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma CUMMINGS, Topeka; two sons, Raymond E. DAVIS, of Topeka, and Earl L. DAVIS, Chicago, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Frank YOCUM, Houston, Texas and Mrs. Elizabeth ANDERSON, Chicago; a brother, Dan J. LEHR, Topeka and three grandchildren, Jack E. Cummings, now in the Navy; Gary Lee Davis, Topeka, and Ellen N. Davis, Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services for Charles Bernard CROSBY, president of the Crobsy Brothers Company, who died Sunday in a Topeka hospital, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Grace Cathedral. The Crosby Brothers Store was closed yesterday and will be closed today in respect to the memory of Mr. Crosby. A request that Topeka stores be closed from 2 until 3 p.m. today was made at a meeting of the merchants' division of the Chamber of Commerce Monday. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.

Born in Montgomery County, Virginia, he had lived in Topeka the past 58 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lillian LAMBERSON, of the home, and Mrs. Mollie CRIDEN, Crescent, Okla.; one brother, Preston M. Phillips, Topeka; several nieces and nephews. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Coon, of the home; two sons, George Coon, Topeka and William Coon, Long Beach, Calif.; eight daughters, Mrs. Nat BRIGGS, Scranton, Mrs. Harry HARRIS, Burbank, Calif., Mrs. Ruth DOWERS, Muncie, Kan., Mrs. Viola DENSLOW, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Opal DELBERT, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Jewell MERCER, St. Joseph, Mo., and Mrs. Amy HORSENS, Long Beach, Calif.; and 29 grandchildren.

Born in Pennsylvania, she has been a resident of Meriden the past 60 years. Surviving are one son, L.R. Tripp, Blackwell, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Minta HIGH of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Elsworth DARREL and Myron DARREL, both of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The body is at Eslinger's pending funeral arrangements.

He was the son of the late John MacDonald, who was editor of the Western School Journal and Shawnee County superintendent of schools for 12 years. Survivors are the wife, of the home; two daughters, Inez, of the home, and Mrs. Beulah SEAVEY, North Conway, N.H.; one son, Lieut. John R. MacDonald, Arlington, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Nora CHANDLER, Lowell, Mass. Funeral services have not been announced.

He was born February 26, 1871, in Maytown, Ky., and had lived in Topeka and vicinity for about 30 years. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lottie MURPHY of St. Marys and Mrs. Lena HEIM of Topeka; and three sons, James and Clyde of Topeka and Edward of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wall-Diffenderfer's.

Miss Bernice Margaret HOUCK, 28, formerly of Delia, died Saturday night in a plane crash near San Fernando, Calif., according to word received by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Houck of Delia. No details in connection with the crash were received. Miss Houck has been employed in a hospital at Hawthrone, Calif., and occasionally took week-end plane rides to points of interest in California. She was born November 30, 1918, in Delia. Besides her parents, survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Lee SUMMER and Mrs. Elizabeth N. SUMMER, both of Wichita; five brothers, Leroy Houck, Los Angeles, Calif., Lawrence Houck, Sacramento, Calif.; Wendell and John Houck, now in military service, and Richard Houck, of the home, and a grandfather, L.T. Houck of Delia. Funeral services and burial will be in Delia but further arrangements will not be made until after the arrival of the body from California.

Funeral services will be held at the Newcomer Chapel in Kansas City, Mo., at 10 a.m.
