The Topeka Daily Capital Friday April 25, 1947 Mrs. Mary E. Edgerton. Mrs. Mary E. EDGERTON, 60, died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Helen PICOLET, 1048 Winfield. Mrs. Edgerton was born in Elkhart, Ind., and came to Kansas City, Mo., when she was 15 years of age, where she lived for 15 years, when she moved to Topeka, where she had since made her home. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Picolet and Mrs. Fern SAMPLE of Topeka; two brothers, Toner SCHOPE of White City and Charles SCHOPE of Las Vegas, N.M., and three grandchildren. Eslinger's will annouce the funeral arrangements.
The Topeka Daily Capital Friday April 25, 1947 Odell Dodson. Odell DODSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dodson of 1329 North Madison, died Wednesday night in a Chicago hospital. He was born in Topeka, May 1, 1906, and lived here until 1929, when he moved to Chicago. he attended the Topeka schools and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, Kenneth and Edmund, both of Topeka; several aunts and uncles, including Louis and John TRICE, both of Topeka. Funeral services and burial will take place in Topeka, the arrangements to be announced by Gaines and Son.

Surviving are her husband, August Nuffer; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur WULFKUHLE of Stull, Kan., and Mrs. C.R. FINDLEY of Newton; one son, the Rev. V.J. BOEHRINGER of Ponca City, Okla.; 16 grandchildren, three sisters, four brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical Church in Stull, Saturday afternoon at 2. Burial will be in the Stull Cemetery.

She was born in Nashville, Tenn., and lived nearly all her life in Topeka. She is survived by a sister, Lucy McNary and several nieces and nephews. The body is at Gaines Brothers Funeral Home pending arrangements.
The Topeka Daily Capital Friday April 25, 1947 Charles R. Quinley Is Second Traffic Fatality in County. Charles Ross QUINLEY, 62, of 1137 Mulvane, became Topeka's first traffic victim this year and the second in Shawnee County early Thursday morning when he died in a Topeka hospital from a broken neck. The accident occurred April 11 at Eighth and Buchanan when his car and a car driven by Bennett Eddy, 23, of 216 Tyler, came together at Eighth and Buchanan. Altho Quinley's car did not turn over and he was not thrown from his car, the force was sufficient to break his neck. He was paralyzed below his neck until he died. Quinley, an interior decorating contractor, was born July 22, 1884 in Weston, Mo., and had made his home in Topeka 19 years. He was a membr of the Lowman Memorial Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nell F. Quinley of the home; a daughter, Mrs. R.L. MASSEY, Topeka; two sons, Robert and James Quinley, both of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Emma WAGGONER, Weston, Mo., and Mrs. Carl NORRIS, Oklahoma City; and two brothers, George A. and Peter James Quinley, Kansas City. The body was taken to the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. Dr. H.L. Clark, county coroner, announced that an inquest will be held. A jury will be selected today and the hearing probably will be held next week.

The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday April 24, 1947 Lloyd Paul Woodburn. Lloyd Paul WOODBURN, 63, died at his home, 714 Fillmore, Wednesday. Mr. Woodburn was born at Goff, Kan., Feb. 23, 1884, and attended school in Nemaha County and Campbell College at Holton. For a time he was employed by the law firm of Crand and Woodburn, and later moved to Westmoreland where he was county treasurer for two terms. Mr. Woodburn had been ill for 12 years, and at the time he was stricken he was serving as cashier of the Union State Bank of Cleburne. The family had lived in Toepka for the past four years. In 1913, he married Miss Jessie HESSE, who survives him. He also leaves two children, Mrs. Elizabeth LONGREN and Lloyd W. WOODBURN; a grandson, Paul Albin LONGREN; one brother, J.L. WOODBURN of Fostoria and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wall-Diffender's. Burial will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

She was a member of Fidelity chapter of OES at Carbondale and the Carbondale Congregational Church. She leaves, besides her husband, one sister, Mrs. Nell KIMBLE of Carbondale, and one brother, W.H. MILLER of Scranton. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Bushong Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Carbondale. The body will lie in state at Wall-Diffenderfer's until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
