The Liberal Daily Democrat Seward County Tuesday January 4, 1921 Victim of Boiler Explosion Died Last Night. Ellis OBERDICK, who was scalded in the boiler explosion last Friday afternoon, and who was brought to a local hospital Saturday, died last night. He was twenty-four years of age, and an ex-service man. His home was in Nashville, Kansas, and he was here working with the threshing crew near Hooker, where the accident occurred. The body of Elmer Oberdick was taken to his home in Nashville, Kansas, this morning on the plug, where funeral services and burial will take place. His parents accompanied the remains.
