The Liberal Lyre Seward County Friday April 8, 1892 The stage driver between Liberal and Hugoton failed to put in his appearance last Friday, as he did not reach Hugoton until that morning. The wind of Thursday upset the stage and spilled the mail sacks and PATTERSON out on the prairie, but old "Pat" held on to the mail sacks and kept them from being carried away at the rate of fifty miles an hour.
