The Liberal Lyre Seward County Friday January 22, 1892 >From a private letter received by a friend, we learn that Mrs. Carrie RHOADES, who was recently shot in the neck by her husband, is rapidly recovering, and aside from nervousness, is almost herself again. She had just returned from the funeral of her mother in Indiana, when the bullet was fired at her. Mrs. Rhoades thinks it was an intervention of Providence that saved her life.
