    3. The Fargo Springs Times Seward County Thursday November 25, 1886 Susan B. ANTHONY a short time ago said that Abraham Lincoln was one man she could have loved. The many friends and admirers of the great statesman will now congratulate him upon his escape. We need the participation of woman in the ballot-box. It is idle to fear that she will meet with disrespect or insult at the polls. Let her walk up and firmly and modestly to deposite her vote and if any one ventures to molest her, the crowd will swallow him as the whale did Jonah. Beecher.

    2. Jim Laird
    3. The Farvo Springs Times Seward County Thursday October 7, 1886 Died, in this city, last Sunday afternoon, of typhoid fever, Arthur CORLETT, aged 22 years. Deceased came here from Newton a few weeks ago and took a claim, and at the time he was taken sick he was employed in the Owl printing office. He was apparently in good health and seemed to be sure of long life, but the fatal fever came upon him, and soon clouded his bright young mind. For two weeks he suffered, part of which time his mother was with him, she having been summoned from her home in Newton to attend his dying bed. At about five o'clock on Sunday evening he died, surrounded by many friends he had made since he came here. His funeral occurred at 11 o'clock Monday, services conducted by Rev. Clark of the Presbyterian church. To the widowed and now childless mother we extend our heartfelt sympathy in this her dark hour of affliction.
