The Liberal Daily Democrat Seward County Wednesday November 3, 1920 County Ticket Went Largely Republican. Seward county went Republican in yesterday's land side, all the contested offices in the court house going to the Republican with the exception of county attorney. The Democrats elected two commissioners, Chas. NEFF and Butler WOOD. Miss Emma THOMPSON, county superintendent had no opposition. The surprise of the contest was the race made by E.W. DAVIS for the office of county attorney. Davis was badly beaten two years ago, but yesterday the majority was very nearly reversed. Davis received a majority in every ward in Liberal city, Kismet, Antelople Valley, Blue Bell. The vote from Seward Township and Fargo township are not in. The Republicans elected the following officers: Abe K. STOUFER, county clerk. W.H. FEATHER, Treasurer. Dr. W.O. NELSON, Sheriff. J.W. CAMPBELL, probate judge. H.F. BOLTON, register of deeds. S.A. MILLER, coroner. F.O. RINDOM, district clerk. Minnie J. GRINSTED, representative. (Note: Don't know for sure, but think perhaps the Sheriff and Coroner may need to be reversed.)
