Notice is hereby given that all children of school age and under are hereby quarantined from attending public meetings, such as theatres, picture shows, churches and all other public gatherings. Provided, however, that children may attend the public schools under supervision of the public health officers. Children are further prohibited from visiting or congregating at private homes or appearing on the streets and alleys, except while passing to and from school. This order becomes effective upon its publication in the Liberal papers and remains in effect till revoked. Geo. S. SMITH, City Health Officer. --------- Parents Asked To Keep Children Off Streets. Parents are urged to keep their children off the streets during the quarantine and assist in putting down the contagion. This applies to all children in the schools, both high and grade pupils. Some are thinking that because the children are allowed to attend school, and not church and the movies, that it is unreasonable. The fact of the matter is, the schools are under a close observance while the churches and theatres are not. Local physicians were examining pupils today and will continue to keep a close watch over the conditions of the school room. If the parents assist in doing as the Board of Health requests, it may be the quarantine will be released by the last of the week.
