    3. The Liberal Daily News Seward County Tuesday November 2, 1920 Dora BEAVER, nineteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Beaver, of Kismet, died at McPherson Monday following an operation for appendicitis. Miss Beaver was attending college at McPherson when she became ill an dthe operation was necessary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. John where the family formerly resided and interment will be made there.

    3. The Liberal Daily News Seward County Wednesday October 27, 1920 Frank Igou Dead. Frank IGOU, well known to many of the people of this county, died yesterday at Kansas City, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Igou came to Liberal in 1904 and for three or four years conducted a real estate brokerage business in the old building which stood whre the News office is now located. The Igou people bought and sold much land in Seward and Stevens counties and made lots of money, but they sold out just when the real land boom started, not having sufficient faith in the outcome to hang on. Mr. and Mrs. Igou were very popular in Liberal and it is with deep regret that we publish the news of Mr. Igou's death. Many people here send greetings of sympathy to Mrs. Igou in her sorrow.

    3. The Liberal Daily News Seward County Wednesday October 27, 1920 Takes Iodine By Mistake. However Prompt Medical Attention Will Prevent Serious Effects to Liberal Lady. Mrs. O.E. ROBBINS of this city took a large dose of iodine this morning mistaking the bottle for one containing another medicine. A physician was summoned immediately and a stomach pump used. Mrs. Robbins' throat was quite badly burned by the iodine but it is hoped that aside from this she will not suffer serious effects, on account of the prompt aid of the physician.

    3. The Liberal Daily News Seward County Monday Ocotber 25, 1920 Eight Liberal Students K.U. Has Quite a Sprinkling of Our Young People This Year. Included in the record enrollment of 3,400 at the University of Kansas this year are eight men and women from Liberal. The increased attendance at the University this year is making possible the formation of many county clubs. The Unversity Alumni Association is encouraging the formation of K.U. organizations to keep in touch with the present students from the different towns. It is expected many reunions of present and former students will be held Christmas. The K.U. students from Liberal are as follows: Alva EIDSON, William Marshall EIDSON, Prentis S. BEASLEY, George SPRADLING, Mary Louise FARMER, Robert Louis LEVI and Leona RYAN.

    3. The Liberal Daily News Seward County Friday October 22, 1920 Goes To Dodge City. Mrs. Lillie Smith Has Accepted A Position as Reporter on Dodge City Globe. Mrs. Lillie SMITH, who has been making her home here for the past several years, will go to Dodge City next week, where she has accepted a position as reporter and proof reader on the Dodge City Daily Globe. Mrs. Smith is not new to newspaper work, she and her sister, Mrs. Allen BLACK, having edited an early day paper in this country, known as the Vorhess Vindicator and later the Beaver Herald. Mrs. Smith is a lady of ability and her previous experience assures her success in her new position.

They will make Liberal their home.

The Liberal Daily News Seward County Monday October 18, 1920 Arlie Hugh ZIMMERMAN, the 9 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. ZIMMERMAN, who live 13 miles east of Liberal, died at a local hospital Saturday, after a three week's illness. The interment will be held in the Bixler cemetery. Rev. A.E. Henry will conduct the funeral services.
