I am not related to this family and have no additional information. ______________ G. S. Handy Dies Monday George Samuel Handy, a resident of Scott City 13 years, died Monday at the age of 97. Funeral services were yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Weinmann-Price Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Kenneth Owen, and interment was in the Scott County cemetery. Pallbearers were A. J. Handy, J. L. Handy, Morris Louthan and Cecil Louthan. Mr. Handy was born Aug. 24, 1867 in York, Ill. He came to Rice county, Kansas in 1874. In 1893 he was married to Josephine Montagriff in Rice county, and they farmed there until 1941 when they retired and moved to Scott City. Mrs. Handy died June 20, 1960. Since that time Mr. Handy had made his home with a nephew James Handy and family. He was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church.
