L. Hendricks Elmer L. Hendricks died Saturday in the Scott County hospital at the age of 72. He had been ill several months. Funeral services were Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Assembly of God church in charge of the pastor, Rev. R. L. Courtney, with interment in the Scott County cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Andrasek, Charles Strickert, George Wray, Roy Watkins, Elmer Speer and Rev. L. W. Harrison. The Weinmann-Price Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hendricks was born May 1, 1894 at Southwest City, Mo. He married Hannah Belcher Oct. 16, 1920 at Alluwe, Okla. She preceded him in death in 1965. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion and the Assembly of God. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Julia A. Henry of La Puente, Calif., Mrs. June Speer of Dighton and Mrs. Lucile Evers and Mrs. Jacque Backer, both of Everett, Wash., 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
