I have come into possession of two books someone might be interested in. I will mail them both or one to anyone for the cost of the postage. One is State Journal, State of Kansas, 1927. The other is Scott County Kansas Centennial, 1886 to 1986. Both books are in good condition. Email me privately if you are interested. Movita Harris, [email protected]
Hello, I am trying to locate the final resting place of Charles Rupp, born in 1852 in Zanesville, Ohio, moved to Muscatine, Iowa, in 1854, and to Washington County, Iowa in 1900. In 1925, Charles is listed in a Des Moines, Iowa newspaper as visiting his brother, and Charles was living in Ft. Scott, Kansas at the time. I have checked in the Ft. Scott, Kansas area and find no sign of him around 1925. I am wondering if, the paper meant to say Scott City, Kansas, because another brother was living in Colby, not too far away. Does anyone have access to the 1920 Scott County census and could check and see if there is a Charles and Amanda Rupp living in Scott City. Was there a 1925 state census for Kansas that year? Or does anyone have a cemetery listing for the county and could check on Rupp? Thank you for any help. Nicky

Hi List: I am doing a one name study on the name COVEY. If anyone has run across any of these folks I would certainly appreciate hearing from you. My direct line goes back to 1639 in Braintree, Massachusettes. I'm now trying to fatten the tree and perhaps add a little color. Thanks in advance for your efforts.
