When a small child he came with his parents, Harmon and Hannah to Kansas and lived in the Palco vicinity until his death. He was united in marriage to Matilda Belisle November 2, 1900. Preceding him in death were a daughter who died in infancy; a son, Milan, born February 28, 1912, died May 13, 1947; five sisters, Anna Morton of Orfino, NE, Mary Downey of Cambridge, NE, Celesta Herron of Franktown, CO, Roxie Rardin and Stella Elliott of Palco, KS; four brothers, Ben and Eddie of Palco, KS, Ray of Hill City, KS, and Roy of Scappoose, WA. Survivors include his widow, Matilda; Florence Hinkhouse, daughter-in-law; a sister, Lottie Coddington, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral mass was conducted by Father Kruse and Father Ernest Gallagher at St. Ann's Church and interment was in St. Ann's cemetery, Zurich.
