Morton who died 1900 and is buried at Monroe, Snohomish Co. WA cemetery. He is noted as being a Civil War vet of KS but gives no unit and cannot find in CW information. He married Harriet Betts 1883, and resided in Sugar Loaf, Rooks Co. till 1889 when he was found in Monroe, WA. His children were noted as Alice M. 1884/KS, Algernon Romeo 1886/KS, LaVina Martha 1888/MO, Louis 1890/WA, Adela M. 1892/WA, Silvan 1898/WA. When Henry died Harriett was living with her daughter 1910 LaVina who first married Isaac Dubuque. Can not find her after that. As she was only 47 per 1910 census she probable remarried. Would like to locate the Morton family in KS and find what unit Henry Morton served. Be glad to share what I have. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
