    3. I checked the database at the Kansas State Historical Society's website, and could find no newspapers for 1874-75 in Stockton or Rooks County. However, I printed off your request, and when I am next at the library (we're expecting 12 inches of snow tomorrow, ice today, I'll see if I can find anything. If I do, I'll post it back here. What I am looking for is a report of a possible trampling by cattle or horses of a young man named George Jones who was 17 in 1875. I have a picture of him taken in Stockton in 1875, when he was married and he had a lot of scars around his eyes, and damage to one of his eyes. There was still heavy bruising along side the right eye, but the scars were all healed over. like it had been at least a few months since whatever happened to him. He didn't appear to have burns so I don't think it was a steam engine explosion, but the scars look consistent with getting kicked or more likely trampled by a horse or cattle. So I am thinking there might be an article talking about whatever happened to him either in early 1875, or sometime in 1874. ____________________________________________________________ Dermatologists Hate Her Clever Mom Uses $5 Trick to Erase Wrinkles and Look Younger Instantly. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3131/4d46163baf09be4ccc6st03vuc ------------------------------ To contact the KSROOKS list administrator, send an email to KSROOKS-admin@rootsweb.com.
