I am searching for information on the family of Sherman Lester Shoe and wife Eva Marie Shoe, and their children who lived in Stockton circa 1930. Their young son, (first name unknown?) Russell Shoe, approximately age 14, was shot and killed accidentally by another family member. I have been unable to find out any additional information about this untimely death. This Shoe family moved to Tacoma (Pierce County), Washington in 1933. Thank you for any help/ideas you might have. Michele

There is no obit for any Shoe in the Plainville Times which usually ran the same obits that the Stockton newspaper did. They shared stories. The Kansas State Historical Society loans on interlibrary load reels of the newspapers. I used two reels at my public library for three weeks and it didn't cost me anything but the copies I wanted.
