Since I took over the Rooks County KSGenWeb site in July 2004 I have uploaded 600 obituaries to date. I would like to thank all those who have looked up obits and sent them to me for posting, especially Jan Reading, a weekly if not daily contributor. Doyle Ekey has also been a big contributor. I would also like to thank all the other contributors for sharing their family obits in hope of finding other relatives researching their family lines. I have spent more hours than I would like to admit reading obits all over the US to find ones that relate to Rooks County to post. I have received numerous emails about the website, even one from the county clerk stating she would be sending people who contact her for copies of documents to the website. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to help people locate resources for the descendants of the Rooks County people. This has been a wonderful experience for me and one I hope to continue for years to come. I have stacks of picture postcards taken around Rooks County and of the people of Rooks County, so many that it will probably take me years to scan and upload, I have the 1926 & 1927 Stockton High School year books and other bits and pieces relating to Rooks County to scan and post all purchased with my own money. I have such a love of Rooks County and the people there. My husband is truly lucky to descend from Rooks County pioneers. Thank you all for sharing, Brenda Reeder Rooks Co.
