Museum@ruraltel.net This is the museum of Rooks Co. Kansas and they have a lot of knowledge about books, newspapers, etc. These people are very active researchers for such a small place. Email them and ask if there are any directories of the county for the time period you are looking for. I did not remember coming across any when I was there in June but they would know best. the Certificates of Intent and Naturalization Papers for Rooks Co. are on line and I did not see any with the name Clerc.
