    1. [KSROOKS] NORTHUP Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescue" an old photograph of Stephen NORTHUP which is dated 25 Dec 1898. Stephen appears to be in his teens at the time the photograph was taken. There is no studio or location noted, however, it was discovered with photographs from Clark County Washington and is addressed to Emma STRUNK. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Stephen and his family: Stephen Elmer NORTHUP was b. 21 Apr 1882 in Woodston, KS to parents Charles Monroe NORTHUP (1856-1883) and Ellen Sarah MCKENDRY (1860-1919). Stephen was one of 4 children born to this couple including, Harriet Rebecca; Marcellus; Stephen Elmer; and Charles M. NORTHUP, all born between 1880 and 1883. After her husband's death Ellen remarried and had two additional children, Stephen's half-siblings, George F. HANSON and Wayland HANSON born in 1890 and 1895. Stephen married Anna May SLIDERBURG (b. 1893 or 1894) and they had two children. Stephen was farming in Brush Prairie, WA when he registered for the draft in 1918. Stephen died 28 Jul 1927 in Clark Co., WA and is buried in the Fourth Plain Cemetery in Vancouver, WA. I'm hoping to locate someone from this NORTHUP Family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Vol 1 is 187 pages, vol 2 is 228, vol 3 is 133, and vol 4 is 215 pages, Selby publishing and Printing, Kokomo, Indiana. ---In a website dated back in 2008, the Selby company was selling these volumes. http://www.selbypub.com/kansas.htm As far as William T. Wilson...this name is VERY COMMON. What you know about this person might help further identify his movements and to prove/disprove the above record actually concerns him. This person you inquire upon didn't just show up in Mt. Atr from Chalk Mound and you identified him as your person of interest. In another of your postings, you identify search for records of Anna Wilson, wife of William T. Wilson, who died in Montgomery County, Iowa on 4 Oct 1873. Is there some record you have identified that indicates this William T. Wilson was this person's husband? When you post, it is probably much more important to fully identify the person you seek first, by some criteria information, such as date/place of birth, parents, siblings, spouse...OR that the person's name happens to match a person that you had found somewhere else. I am SURE, POSITIVE, that the records from the Quaker meetings will not identify this person enough to connect him as being ANY of th! e William T. Wilson in the US at that time. In this case, it "appears" your search first begins with data concerning this Anna Wilson, or whoever was connected. This person's date of birth would be VERY helpful to finding his ultimate date of death, cemetery, etc. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Cedar, Stockton, KS 67669, 785-425-7217 www.rookscounty.net/museum.htm I think the book you want/need is the Kansas Quaker Monthly Meeting Records, Volume 1, Chalk Mound (1879) Rooks Co., Kansas. Contact your local library and ask if they'll do an inter-library loan. If the holding library won't release the book for a loan, ask to have the pages copies where William T. Wilson's name appears. I also saw that it was for sale when I did a Google search. Successful Searching! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
