Linda, Henry C. Swartz and brothers Eli Swartz and John Swartz all enlisted in Co. F, 46 Ohio Volunteer Infantry in October and December 1861. Eli Swartz was killed April 6, 1862 and is buried at Shiloh National Cemetery. Henry and John both survived the war and both were promoted to Sargent's. John remained in Ohio after the war. Henry C. and his wife Susannah Swartz were cousins that their families were next door neighbors on all census while they were growing up. Earl D.
