Looking for info on a William Henry Shane/Shain. William was born sometime around 1855 in Canada. William first married Rhoda Benbow, then married Julia Maxson/Maxton on 25 Apr 1876 in Jewell Co. KS. I then find William and Julia in the 1880 Republic County Kansas census together with their son Charles E. Shane who is listed as 2 years old, this would make his date of birth around 1878 in KS.
