Sometime between 1870 and 1880 George Belfield and his family moved from Kendall Co., IL to Bellville, Republic Co., KS. George Belfield (sometimes Bellfield) died December 08, 1919 and is buried in Bellville Cem. His wife, Mary Etta (Young) Belfield died August 21, 1916 and also is buried in Bellville Cem.
