District 90, Elk Creek, Republic, KS. Sup district, enumeration 90, sheet 6B. She is listed as Missouri Burgess, mother-in-law b. Jan 1830,W.VA, f. b. PA, m. b. MO, gave birth to 10 children with 4 living. Her name is transcribed in Ancestry as Burgers. She is living in the home of Harry and Eveline Flick. Harry b. Dec 1857 PA, f.PA m.PA; Eveline b. Mar 1858 KS, f.PA, m.W.VA.; son Lester b. Mar 1890; son Ray b. Nov 1891. Harry and Eveline were married about 1885. I don't see Missouri in the 1910 census, however, Eveline is still there. District 99, Elk Creek, Republic, KS. This time her husband is listed as William H. and born in Michigan. They have only the two sons, Lester D. and Raymond H. This means there will probably be cemetery records and possibly obits for Henry and Missouri in Republic county. Henry and Missouri are in the following cemetery on the Republic website, however, there are no birth or death dates or details: "UNION CEMETERY (Grant Township, Republic County) is located in the southwest corner of the southeast 160 acres of Section 16, approximately one mile south of Wayne, Kansas on what was originally the Olof Englund farm when Union was first laid out. Ms. Maddy's family (Campbell and Tuthill, two of the founding families of Republic County) are interned here. The majority of those burried here were born in the 1800s (1810 earliest birthdate). The families are: Burgess - Agnes (Long), Ella May, Infant, Henry, Missouri, William H. " http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/republic/Swedish/CemList.html There is also a KS 1895 Census. It is accessible through many family centers and will provide further info on this family.
