    2. Continued from page 382 William Joseph Dunlap was born in 1859 the son of Robert Bell Dunlap in Crawford County, Iowa. He married Lene Leoti Scott, daughter of Winfield S. Scott in 1882. Wm. Joseph Dunlap was a carpenter and plasterer by trade. Four sons and one daughter were born to them. Mr. Dunlap died 1918 at Clay Center, Kansas. William Thurston the oldest son was deceased in 1959. Other sons are Ralph B., John Winslow, Bryan A., and one daughter Fern A. Dunlap Walker. Mrs. Wm. J. Dunlap lives in Clay Center. She is. 95 years old. ??? Alfarata Scott, daughter of Dr. Winfield and Christene Gazella Smith Scott, came to Norway twp. with her parents, in 1871. She married Elais V. Moore and they filed a homestead claim in Section 20, along the Republican River. They reared 2 sons, James Andrew and LaRoy Michael. LaRoy and Mildred Kelly Moore own and operate the Riverside farm. It consists of 70 acres, of the Charles Rogers homestead and land from the Benjamin Bowley and Phillip Maher homesteads in Sec. 20 and Sec. 29. Mr. and Mrs. Moore are engaged in general farming and production of registered Hereford cattle.
