The father, Jess E, has a WWI draft card on file that shows his birthplace as Rice, Cloud county, Kansas. In 1920, he and Flora are in Arion, Cloud, Kansas. The 1910 census shows that Jess was part of a VERY large family. I'll post it below. I know they are all related because of the birthplaces of the heads. There should be someone from this family left in Cloud county or Republic. Clifford may simply have registered from Republic or the family may have ended up there, because in the 1930 census, they are only renting. Would you either send me the person's email address or give him/her mine? I am interested in the Belleville section. Hubbie's g g grandfather, James Cobin Humphrey was one of 5 that first settled Belleville that became the county seat. He owned and operated The Telescope newspaper from that town starting in 1862. When they came to America in 1869, they dropped the WALLBERG surname and shortened LARSSON to LARSON. I would like to contact descendants of this family: Jonas LARSON, b. 1836 in Alfta, Helsingland (Gavleborg), Sweden. With wife, Brita (Bertha) PEHRSDOTTER, he had these children: Per (Peter W. LARSON), b. 1857 in Sweden Anna, b. 1860 in Sweden Brita (Bertie), b. 1861 in Sweden Jonas, b. 1864 in Sweden Sara (Sarah), b. 1866 in Sweden Cora C. LARSON, b. about 1872 in Kansas With his second wife, Christiana ERICKSON, these children were born: Joseph, b. about 1897 Mary, died in infancy Censuses show the family living in Grant, Republic, Kansas and Arcade, Phillips, Kansas. However, there is some indication they were connected to Belleville and Wayne, both also in Republic County, Kansas, as well. Jonas LARSON had a brother, Peter (Larson) KRAFT, who lived in Wayne, KS Jonas was my great-grandmother's first cousin, and I have extensive ancestry for this family in Sweden.
