Hi Pat, I show a Joseph Wilkinson born in 1852 and died in 1919 in Albion/Maple Grove/Johnson Cemetery. On Nancy, I show her dates as born in 1855 and died in 1886 in same cemetery. Source is republic county clerk cemetery records. I see a Mrs. Harris that died on May 1, 1904 with a child of Mrs. Wilkinson but there was not more information than that nor did it show a cemetery name. There was also an unknown Harris who died in 1914 in riverview, but there's no way to tell if there any relation. There were about 15 Harris's and 5 Wilkinson's burried in republic county on my list. Your welcome Beth, I have a copy of the cemetery records for Republic county and Cloud County if anyone needs a lookup for those records. Some of the cemeteries are starting to be "online" just incase anyone wasn't aware. My people happened to be from Ada, so I found lots of goodies. Here's a url of a couple on KS Republic Genweb Ada Cemetery http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/republic/Documents/Ada%20Cemetery.doc / Rosehill Cemetery - bad link / Union Cemetery - bad link St. George Cemetery http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/archives/republic/cemetery/stgeorge/index.html In talking with Mrs Hedstrum at Ada, she told me that she had sent her old church records to the Kansas Historical Society in Johnson County. If that is the case then I would bet that a lot of the church records could be found there near Kansas City. While looking at their site, I noticed that they have a good collection of census records: http://www.kshs.org/genealogists/census/kansas/index.htm Here's another link from them for vital records: http://www.kshs.org/genealogists/vital/index.htm One of these days we will be able to do most of the searches from the confort of our own homes. I remember doing a search on the internet about 10 years ago for genealogy and found practically nothing. Haven't been frequenting the republic county tread lately, so pardon me if I duplicated anything. Just felt the need to share a little after getting the search from you on the Republic County History Book 1868-1964.
