Surnames: LANE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Vm.2ADE/1340.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Don, I got my G-Uncle's railroad number from the funeral home records. I didn't find his name on the S.S. death info. He died in 1962, After this post I made about the records are in a salt mine in Reno, I did right to the S.S. records Dept. giving them my Uncle's name and his railroad number and I do hope they find something on him. I don't know what railroad my Uncle worked for but I do know he died in the Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis Coity, MO. I thought maybe he worked for the Missouri Pacific Railrod which is now Union Pacific and Union told me unless I had a reg. today's S.S. number they could not help me at all and they also check for him by name and have no info on him. My Uncle was just ready to retire and died before he put in for it. So he never drew any benifits. I don'r know what he did for the railroad either I was just a child then, but proud that he worked for a railroad and would like to know which one at least. Since I'm working on my family tree and his sister my Ggrandmother died age 22 all my LANE line info has been lost. Thank You for your reply. Theresa
