Hello List, I am new to this list and am wondering if any of you have any special listings of births in Reno Co. For years I have been trying to find my grandmother's birth record and never knew where in Kansas to look. Her mother and father were born and died in St. Louis so I think the family was in Kansas just a few years. I am very excited that a recent mailing from a St. Louis cemetery gave her place of birth as Hutchinson, KS. Voila! If anyone out there has any records or business directories which could help me with this family, I would greatly appreciate it. The father was Louis BECK 1859-1948. He was a sadler and harness maker. Her mother was Pauline (Rostron) BECK 1864-1936. My grandmother was Pearl Ethel BECK born 17 Feb 1885. Grandmother's sister was Mabel B. BECK born in 1887--also in Kansas. Grandmother eloped to Kansas in April 1907 to marry my grandfather (Edward W. Meyer), but that record has eluded me also. Thanks for reading this!
