    3. Hi, Melanie Fostoria is in Pottawatomie County in Kansas. It is in the northeast quarter of the state. If the map you have uses abbreviations, it would be PT. This is new to me as I lived in Pottawatomie County for 6 years. It is full of little tiny places, most of which are pretty neat! Also, here is a little site that is extremely helpful when doing genealogy in a "foreign" state. You select the first letter of the town you are looking for (F), then the next screen gives you more choices - you select (Fo), etc. It shows Fostoria, Kansas www.placesnamed.com Hope this helps. I don't see Nickerson Twp on list of Twps at genweb site, but see a town of Nickerson. Was there a Nickerson Twp in 1920? If so, what Twp would that be now? > > Have a marriage that probably took place in Kingman, KS. I saw on the map at the Reno site that there was a town of Kingman in the county just south of Reno, but the county name didn't show. What county is that? > > Have another marriage that took place in Fortoria or Fostoria KS. Fortoria is how source spelled name. Does that place exist? I thought it could be a typo for Fostoria. Either way - what county would that city be in? > > Thank you, > > Melanie Rice > > >
