Shaefer (b. abt 1845 Bavaria) and Caroline Kumpf (b. Aug 1849 Ohio). They moved from Racine Co., Wi to Henry Co., Il and then settled in Hutchison, Reno KS about 1880. They had the following children: Emma Cecelia b. 26 Oct 1868 Wisconsin Harry J. b. Apr 1873 Illinois Leona b. 1874 in Iowa (may have married a man named Miller and then a man named Sargent) Francis b. Mar 1880 Kansas Caroline's brother, August Kumpf was living with them in 1870 and also in Reno KS during 1880. Any information is appreciated. Mary Griffin
