    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Vm.2ADE/1229.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I don't know where Chris and Carrie were married. I think I may have found him in the 1870 census in Missouri, chariton Co., Twp 54 Range 20 line7. He is single at that point, but I think I remember seeing Thomas Gilmore not too far away from Chris's entry. I remember thinking I needed to copy the whole page, but I got sidetracked. I think if Thomas was married by that point, that maybe Chris and Carrie met and married in MO. in 1880 Chris and Carrie are in Reno, Reno Co. KS. He was listed as a nurseryman (there is a large orchard outside of Reno, and Chris knew how to graft trees, as his father had a large orchard in White Co. IN- could Chris have worked there?) I also found mention of a Christopher Bishir, councilman at large for Reno Co. KS in that time frame. I have Esther Millet as Chris's mother, but that is subject to debate. Jeremiah (elder as I call him, many in this line) married at least 3 times, possibly 4. If 4, then Chris is the son of wife #2. Wife #3 was Malinda Gillam (DAR status on this line, descends from Jonathan Gillam), . Wife #4 was Harriet Asba, who had no children with Jeremiah. I will dig and find the name of maybe wife#2, seems to me it was Rebecca or Rachel Welch. there is a message board for the Bishir family, and also Bisher, it seems to be both spellings. Joyce Pappas, Myself, Joan Benton all have contributed to the boards there. the elder Jeremiah had several )at least 20 some say) children. If Chris's mother was indeed Esther Millet (she was alive as of 1832) then there is Miles, first born son, my line, Emily, second born, (both of them married sibs of Malinda Gillam), Isaiah, who never married, Jeremiah Jr., Malinda, ( the Gilmore line from her), John, Mary and Chris as full sibs. There is probably another 8 or so from Jeremiah's wife, Malinda Gillam. I am interested in the Gilmore family, that is one line I have had problems with because of the few of them that moved alot. If you want to communicate off line, feel free to email me - ancestortracker2@comcast.net I am one of these crazy people that share everything I can....

I've never seen anything that leads me to believe they did. Do you know when and where they were married? Also, I know Jerimiah was Christophers father and that Chris seems to be the youngest sibling in his family. Who is his mother and other siblings? As for other information regarding the family, are you interested in the Gilmore family as well as Chris and Carrie? My research has primarily been with the Marshall line but I do have some limited information on Gilmore and Bishir lines as well.
