The funeral of Mrs. Mary Morgan, the wife of Joseph P. Morgan, 302 Avenue A east, was held this morning at 9 o’clock at the St. Teresa’s Catholic church. Rev. William Farrell preached the funeral sermon. The burial was in Eastside cemetery. Mrs. Mary Morgan died Sunday evening at 4 o’clock, when her two baby girls, twins, were but one hour old. She was born at Listowell county, Dublin, Ireland, September 25, 1887, and came to this country in 1907. She was married to Joseph Morgan in April, 1913 To those who knew Mary Morgan, her death was a sad one. A friend said “Mary Morgan was regarded as one who scatters sunshine in her everyday life. She was as good as she was beautiful and it is sad to see her called in her early womanhood.” Besides her husband and her two babies, she is survived by her father, mother and three sisters. She was born Sept. 30, 1905 at Beaver City, Okla., the daughter of Wilhelm F. and Mabel Schroeder Brauer. She atteneded Bethel College for two years and Fort Hays College, where she earned her Life Teaching Certificate. She taught school in Harvey and Reno counties for 10 years and worked as an LPN for many years, retiring from McPherson Hospital. She belonged to Buhler Mennonite Church. On May 2, 1938, she married Henry Lepp at Hutcinson. He died March 20, 1980. Survivors include: a nephew, Gary Brauer, Derby; two nieces, Carolyn Johnson, Walton, and Nadine Willems, Windom; and many great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill; three sisters, Katie Milton, Lyta Bullard and Norene Bullard; and a nephew, Richard Brauer. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Buhler Municipal Cemetery, Buhler, with Pastor Bob Dalke presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Buhler Mortuary, Buhler.
