I also have a bunch of photos, some of Lizzie Thill Dickason in her younger days, photos of her siblings. My relation to the family goes back to Lizzie's grandparents, Charles Thill (who died in France) and Catherine Beaugendre (who came to this country with her three children and settled in Belvidere, IL). Joseph Thill, Lizzie's father is the brother of my gr.gr.grandfather, Nicholas Thill. Joseph and his family moved around a bit, always moving west, from IL to IA to KS and then finally to OK where he participated in one of the land runs. Lizzie (born Margaret Elizabeth) had siblings Charles, Katherine (her twin), John, Joseph, Minnie, and Marian "Annie". I would love to have copies of anything that you have and would be happy to pay you for the cost of photocopying. I'm missing a fair number of details on Lizzie's siblings and their children, so obits might clear up some of the confusion. I'm going to e-mail you copies of some of the photos that I have and would be interested in any info on the Jackson clan as well. I've only made one contact with a relative from this line. I know there must be come folks out there. I've researched the Thill line back to the 1600s in France, yet know nothing about Lizzie's mother, Minnie Heinrich. Do you have her obit?? Will send more via private e-mail. Best, Peggy Hoffmann

My mother who is 88 said I had the information goofed up. Papa Dickason, as my mother calls him, was separated from Mama. He was living on a farm in Missouri, when he became ill. My grandmother Mary Ethel Craig and her husband Alva Chance drove up to Missouri and brought him home to Alva Oklahoma. My grandparents took care of him until he died in 1926. He is buried in Alva. My mother was nine at the time. I have quite a few newspaper clippings that(Margarete E. Dickason) Elizabeth Thill had pasted in her autograph book. One is the original obit on her father. The book dates from 1885. My grandmother knew I was nuts about genealogy so she gave it to me for safekeeping. Also I have a photo of Elizabeth Thill Dickason. She was related to the Jackson's in Hutchinson who owned the Ice creamery. In addition do you need information on Julia Servaty (that may not be the correct spelling) She was also a relative. Hope this is of some help. My grandmother had two children, Vernon Devon Chance and Maxine Ethel Chance. Uncle Vernon lived at Liberal Kansas and had three children. My mother lives in Comfort TX as do my husband and I. I teach school at Boerne HS. Hope to hear from you soon. Jan. P.S. Are you related to the Hoffman's around Pratt? I have a great uncle who is related, different branch of the family.

Yes she was related to the Jacksons that owned the Ice Creamery in Hutchinson. My grandmother was their adopted daughter Ethel Craig. My mother is 88 and has a memory like a trap. I ended up with Elizabeth's authgraph book and so many family newspaper clippings. I f anyone would like a copy I would be happy to share.

She died in Larned, Pawnee Cty, KS. Or perhaps she just has a headstone there. Her twin sister, Kate, is buried in that cemetery. As for James, I don't have a record of the date of his death. He's not in Fairlawn Cemetery. I found a Dr. James Dickason living in Ava, Douglas Cty, MO in 1920 that fits his age and birthplace and if that's him, then he and Lizzie were living separately in their later years. Lizzie died in 1925 I'd love to know more about Mary Ethel. Who and where did she marry? I have her husband's name as Ohance? Is that right? I also don't have a birthdate or birthplace for her. Please let me know if you'd like any more info. Peggy Hoffmann
