I have found out about his later years, but have reason to believe he stayed in Nickerson for a while with the new mill (from 1883 on) before going to Chicago in 1891. Any information about him or his partner J.E. Lawther, would be helpful. Aloha from Hawaii. David Kayner

There's solid research on both of these lines that goes back to the late 1700s. However, I've never seen the "Glancy" name in either the White or Waybright line. I'd be happy to send you or Lenore more information. Marcelle White (marcellewhite@yahoo.com)

Thank you soooo much for the obituary of Henry Musick! What a surprise! Do you know if there is an obituary for Martha as well? Do you know if Martha is the same Martha Musick who was in an asylum in Osawatomie County, Kansas, for the 1900 census? I am so appreciative of your work in Reno County. What a great job you and others did of posting the Eastside Cemetery burials! My ancestor was the sister of Henry Musick... Esther Allen Musick Ewing Hawes. I'm not sure if you want to trade info on this family, but I have things to share. For instance, just a few days ago I got new cemetery photos from Musick Cemetery, Logan County, Illinois, where Esther and Henry's parents and three siblings are buried. I also have other cemetery photos and some documentation. Thank you again for this obituary! P.S. My great grandmother's maiden name was Stout. Her parents were William Franklin Stout and Sarah Elizabeth Williams. William's parents were George Washington Stout and Mary Ann Moore. George's parents were James Stout and Susannah Lanzanthy. They moved from Ohio to Iowa. Any connection? Sincerely, Sue R.

Surnames: Ewing, Folsom, Music, Musick Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Vm.2ADE/1349.1 Message Board Post: In Memoriam Henry Music was born in Logan Co., Ill., May 6th, 1825. At his death he was fifty-nine years and three months old. He was married to Elizabeth J. Ewing October 9th, 1844, by whom he had one son. This companion died in 1850. He was then married to Martha Folsom, November 11th, 1851, by whom he had seven children, four daughters and three sons. Seven of these children are now living with his wife to mourn their loss. Mr. Music joined the Christian Church at the age of sixteen years, and from the time of his giving his heart and services to the Lord he has lived a most consistent Christian. In his death a wife has lost a kind husband and his children a faithful father, the church one of its pillars, and society a worthy member, but Heaven has gained a jewel.
