She married Homer Davis. I met her once or twice when I was very young. I knew your grandmother as Aunt Maude. Her sister, Nota, born June 16, 1991 was my Grandmother. Actually, Nota, may have been a misspelling in the 1900 census. All of the dates and locations seem to be correct. Nota is actually Meta Fern West. Meta West was born in Sterling, Rice County, KS. She married Oliver Estes Reed on April 23, 1911 in Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS and died in May 1972 in Tulsa, Osage Co., OK. The information I have on Aaron Norvel West is that he was born Sept. 29, 1853 in INdepencence, Cayhoga Co. OH. He married Ida Pinyard July 25, 1876 in Morrow Co., OH. Aaron died Sept. 25, 1927. One of Meta's grand daughters in particular has been looking intensley for information about the parents of Arron Norvel West, but to no avail. I have looked on the internet and came up with his father as being Enos West. Enos was born Abt. 1820 in Fairfield, OH and died June 10, 1869 in Independence, OH Aaron's mother was
The end of November I posted the message, copied below, on the Reno list and have not heard from anyone. Are there many churches in Reno where there might be baptismal records? I know that when they moved to St. Louis they were active in an evangelical Protestant church. Is there a genealogy society in Hutchinson? I surely would appeciate some quick answers from somebody. Hi All, I am trying to locate the cemetery where George Beathard & his wife, Anne M. Beathard may be buried. They were living in Sylvia on the 1920 & 1930 Reno Co KS Census. George died between the 1920 & 1930 censeus, age about 70. Anna was listed in Sylvia on the 1930 census, age 50. Per the 1900 Stafford Co KS Census, they had at least 3 children: Lettie, b-1889, Elmer, b-1892, & Maude, b-1898, all born in KS. Thanks for any help. Don Bethard

Hello List, I am new to this list and am wondering if any of you have any special listings of births in Reno Co. For years I have been trying to find my grandmother's birth record and never knew where in Kansas to look. Her mother and father were born and died in St. Louis so I think the family was in Kansas just a few years. I am very excited that a recent mailing from a St. Louis cemetery gave her place of birth as Hutchinson, KS. Voila! If anyone out there has any records or business directories which could help me with this family, I would greatly appreciate it. The father was Louis BECK 1859-1948. He was a sadler and harness maker. Her mother was Pauline (Rostron) BECK 1864-1936. My grandmother was Pearl Ethel BECK born 17 Feb 1885. Grandmother's sister was Mabel B.
