    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Vm.2ADE/988.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi, Melanie. I just came across your message to Thom Forster on September 1, 2002 concerning the question if Noah and Ellen had any children. I realize by now you may already have found this information, but if not, they had a daughter, Minnie A, born in April 1882. I found this in the 1900 census for Nickerson, Reno County, KS. Ellen's son, Omer, is also living with them. Ellen's first husband was Levi Stiffler, from York County, PA. Ellen was his second wife. Levi's third wife was Elizabeth Kaltreider and they are my husbands great-grandparents. In the 1880 census from New Castle, Fulton County, Indiana, Ellen was living with Levi's and her (2) children, Lavonia and Omer. She apparently told the enumerator she was a widow, but Levi was living in York County with his parents, Jacob and Mary Stiffler, and his 9 year old son, Milton, from his first marriage. I have a copy of Ellen & Levi's marriage license from Fulton County, Indiana Sept. 7, 1876, but have been unable to locate the divorce record. By 1881, Levi had remarried and the first of 10 children, including my husband's grandmother, was born. Levi had 16 children from his 3 marriages. Marion

The library in Hutchinson may have some information for you on deaths , but I think to get the actual certificate you have to go through Topeka. I know my cousin and I had to obtain birth and death certificates in Topeka last summer. Jan (Shelton, WA)
